For our first day in San Francisco, we took a small-group tour with Dylan’s Tours, which was excellent, and Adriana and I dominated the music quiz that the guide gave as we drove around. It brought us to several interesting spots around the city, a great viewpoint for photographing the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, and Sausalito for lunch (we ate at Taste of Rome), before wrapping up at the Alcatraz ferry departure point. ...

After spending a month in China here is the loot that Adriana and I acquired. It includes things made of silk, many types of tea and ways to drink it, obligatory panda stuff, and ingredients for cooking Sichuan food. All good.
